Some Pagadians are already present here and some more have to be studied, and the station is being built. It’s been 2 years, 6 months, and 27 days.
Hello ji, how are you? In today’s blog, we will talk about things you should know before you start your process.
Financial Preparation
First, you should have money. This is like a rally; only then will you think of applying. The amount you need is around three million. I have made a video on the cost of study, but you do not need to watch it. I will tell you in short that you need approximately 22 to 23 lakhs, which is only a block account. You will get this back from here, and this block account is not mandatory. There are also two alternatives for which you can wave your log account; one is if you have someone in Germany, and the other is if you have a scholarship. I have already made a video on both of these.
Now that the money is cleared with you, the second thing you should know is when to start the process. If you are a bachelor’s student or in your 12th class, you can start this process from then. If you want to come for a master’s, you can start this process when you are in the seventh semester.
You should know the dates on which admissions are opened in Germany. There are two intakes in Germany: one summer intake and one winter intake. Classes start from October, but their admissions start from April. On the other hand, the classes for the summer intake start from April, but their admissions start from November.
University Selection
Now that you know about the dates you can apply on, the next step is to find the university where you will get admission. It’s essential to search for the university offering the course of your choice. Make a list of the universities you like based on your future course.
I have made a video with all the steps; you can watch it. It’s very important because you will know everything. Make a list of the universities in your seventh semester and 12th class. By the time you get the list of universities, you will also get their requirements. For example, if your CGPA is low or your marks are less, you will look at which university to target based on location and merit.
In big cities, the merit may be higher, while in smaller towns, it may be lower. From the perspective of your CGPA, you will see which universities are suitable for you. Some universities do not depend solely on CGPA; they also consider the relevance of your previous courses.
Make a list of the universities you can apply to. If you have a 3 CGPA, target universities within that range. It’s important to see their ranking and not just focus on big cities like Berlin, where competition is tougher.
Germany has many universities, but the ranking may not matter as much. You will see that most German universities, especially public ones, are quite similar in quality.
Document Preparation
Once you have your list of universities and their requirements, it’s essential to prepare your documents. If you are in the seventh semester, some universities allow you to apply even at this stage. If not mentioned on their portal, you can email them and ask if you need the transcript of the seventh semester.
When you go to the embassy, you must have your degree and transcript. Regional certificates will not work, and seventh-semester documents will also not suffice. Ensure your documents are attested.
If you are a master’s student, they need attachments from HTC and your latest degree. Whatever your latest degree is, it should be attested. Now you have to prepare other documents related to your course. If your CGPA is less, ensure you show relevance with your course.
Experience and relevance are also considered. Have your documents ready, and you can apply to the universities. Before applying, you can book an appointment at the German Embassy in Islamabad. The appointment time keeps changing; currently, it’s four to five months for master’s students.
It’s advisable to book your appointment in advance, but you must have the admission letter when you go to the embassy. If you don’t have the admission letter, you can cancel the appointment.
Conclusion
These are all the things you should know before applying to the university. Remember that winter admissions are open in more universities. If you have a low CGPA, try to apply in winter, as more chances are available then.
Universities are also open in summer, but some only accept intermediate students.
